Rural Health Association of Utah Welcomes Angela Fausett to Board of Directors

Price, UT – September 1, 2025 – The Rural Health Association of Utah (RHAU) is proud to announce the appointment of Angie Fausett, DNP, AGNP-C, to its Board of Directors. With more than 20 years of experience in rural healthcare and a lifelong dedication to strengthening Utah’s rural communities, Angie brings both expertise and passion to the role.

Raised on a small family farm in Northern Utah, Angie gained a deep appreciation for the resilience and close-knit nature of rural life. She began her nursing career at the College of Eastern Utah in Price and has since served in a variety of roles, including medical/surgical nursing, home care and hospice, and case management for the United Mine Workers of America.

Angie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University–Idaho in 2020 and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Utah in 2024, specializing in adult-geriatric care. For the past four years, she has worked with the Huntsman at Home–Rural program, delivering specialty support and compassionate care to cancer patients in Eastern Utah.

Her professional focus is on bridging healthcare gaps, fostering collaboration, and strengthening local care networks to ensure rural communities have the resources they need to thrive. Angie was chosen from a highly qualified pool of candidates for both her extensive background in rural health and the unique perspective she brings to the RHAU Board.

“Angie’s experience and passion for serving rural Utah make her a tremendous addition to our Board,” said Kasey Shakespear, Executive Director of RHAU. “Her leadership will be invaluable as we work to advance our mission of improving health equity and access in rural communities statewide.”

Angie lives in Price, Utah with her husband and two children. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys exploring the mountains, visiting historic sites in Eastern Utah, and traveling with her family.
