2024 Rural Health Association of Utah Annual Conference

The 2024 Annual RHAU Conference marked the first conference after RHAU shifted to operating fully independently. Held on November 13-14, 2024, in St. George, Utah. The conference featured the theme Cultivating Healthier Lives in Rural Utah. The 2024 RHAU events included the 3rd Annual Scholarshop Golf Tournament on November 13th at Sunbrook Golf Course. This year's Scholarship Tournament Raised $5,000 for scholarships. The RHAU Networking Dinner was held that evening at Dixie Technical College and featured networking, the Annual RHAU Awards, the Deborah Lamarche Excellence in Telehealth Award, and the Annual RHAU Update. The full conference was held on November 14th at the Dixie Convention Center. 

The 2024 keynote speaker was Corbin Allred, PA-C, who spoke about his journey in rural healthcare. There were nine breakout sessions, a legislative panel led by Marc Watterson, Director of the Utah Office of Primary Care and Rural Health, and an address from Zil Joyce Dixon Romero from the National Rural Health Association. The conference was attended by 285 individuals and featured 43 sponsors and 28 research posters, making this the largest RHAU conference to date by all metrics.
