This series is dedicated to empowering rural communities, providing the tools, knowledge, and support needed to enhance health and wellness across the state. COVER to COVER: "Connecting Older Veterans, Especially in Rural Areas, to Community and VA-Eligible Resources" is a program serving 14 rural counties, focused on identifying Veterans, educating them, and assisting with applications for VA benefits—including healthcare. Navigating the VA system can be overwhelming, but COVER to COVER has become a trusted community-level expert in guiding Veterans and their caregivers through both VA and local support resources.
The Center for Rural Health Leadership: Learn about insights and data on the wide range of leadership training opportunities available through NRHA and the Center for Rural Health Leadership. This presentation will highlight how these programs support professional development and help strengthen rural health leadership across communities.
